Now that you have successfully installed eTomi, lets start it for the first time, and get it configured to fit you and your computer best.

• Go to the Desktop, and find an a red icon with a yellow swirl inside, similar to the one used during the installation. Double click on it to start eTomi . (Note: eTomi versions prior to 2.0.0.0 are instead labeled with a yellow "S".)
  
• Now eTomi will come up, and will greet you with the "Language Selection" page where you can choose the language eTomi should display. For the purpose of this guide, you should choose English, but you can select any one you want. (Note: it can be changed later on.)
  
• After that you need to configure eTomi a bit to match your computer's configuration. A wizard will appear that will guide you in that process.
  
• The first page presents you with a little introduction of eTomi , you can click "Next" after reading it. (Note: If you already had eTomi installed, and are just updating it, you have probably already gone through the configuration wizard, so you can skip it by clicking "Exit".)
  
• The second step of the wizard asks you what kind of interface you want to use in eTomi . Normal Mode is recommended, so you can safely click on "Next" and continue to the following step.
  
• The third one is an important step, this information about your internet connection will help eTomi get the maximum performance out of your internet connection. First choose where you are connecting from. Then, in the second dropdown list you can choose your internet connection. For more information on this you can take a look at the Internet Connection? part of the FAQ. Then choose the type of connection that you have, or its connection speed, and click "Next" to continue.
  
• Step four allows you to add more folders to share with eTomi , so you can add the folder where you have the music you wish to share. If you don't have anything to add, you can ignore this step, and click "Next". (Note: You can also add folders to share later on.)
  
• eTomi is also community oriented, and users can browse other's profiles, and even exchange each other's favorites. To take full advantage of this you can fill in your user profile by clicking on the "Edit My Profile" button. When you go there you can fill in the fields, and look at the different sections of the profile in the left section. When you are done, click "OK" to go back to the wizard, then click "Next" to continue.
  
• In this last step you can define when eTomi connects to the network. It is best to leave all the boxes checked, but you can customize it to your heart's content. The two boxes at the top should be left checked at the very least, to avoid confusion later on.
  
• Now you can click "Finish". Congratulations! You have now configured eTomi to fit your needs, and can now start using it!
